Willem Grosheide's past and present commitment to and interest in his specialties is evidenced (in addition to his national and international publications and his foreign teaching and research positions ) by, among other things:

•  his longstanding editorial board positions of Dutch and international leading professional journals such as Advocatenblad; Nederlands Tijdschrift voor Burgerlijk Recht; Contracteren; Informatierecht/AMI; Intellectuele Eigendom& Reclamerecht; and Queen Mary Journal of Intellectual Property;  his appointment as a deputy judge at the Amsterdam District Court; his chairmanship of the Amsterdams Juridisch Genootschap; his memberships of the board of the Dutch Copyright Law Association, the Association Littéraire et Artistique Internationale,  and the Association for the Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property Law.
•  being elected  honorary member of the Dutch Copyright Society,  and elected honorary editor of the journal Contracteren.
• his appointment as Officier in de Orde van Oranje Nassau (Officer in the Order of Orange Nassau)
