Francesco Saverio Montesano is a PhD candidate within the GLOBALGOALS project. He holds an MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics, and throughout his academic and professional career he has specialised in international relations (theory), global governance and (foreign) policy analysis.

His work focuses on studying whether and how the ideas, norms and policies of organisations change, particularly in terms of their approach to sustainability. In his current work he has been paying special attention to change within socio-economic (labour) actors, as well as to the role that new governance tools such as the Sustainable Development Goals play in these processes of change. He uses a wide range of methods, including discourse analysis, interviews, and surveys. He has broad international experience and is professionally fluent in four languages (English, Dutch, Italian, and French).
