Emmeline Besamusca is lecturer in the Department Languages, Literature, and Communication, in the section Dutch Studies. She teaches on aspects pertaining to Dutch culture and national identity from an intercultural and international perspective. Also, she is interested in representations of ‘the Other’ in Dutch context. She contributes to the MA Dutch Studies, the MA Intercultural Communication, University College Utrecht, and the BA minor Intercultural Communication. 

Emmeline Besamusca also lectures in Dutch Studies within the Department Comparative Literature of the Institute Europäische und Vergleichende Sprach- und Literaturwissenschaft (EVSL) of the University of Vienna, on topics related to culture, society, and history of the Low Countries. She is a regular guest lecturer at Dutch departments in Central Europe (among which the Eötvös Loránd University ELTE in Budapest, Hungary, en the Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic).
