Ewa Miedzobrodzka, PhD, is a media psychologist and a postdoctoral researcher on the project: 'Digital media use and equal opportunities' within the Youth and Digitalisation (JEDi) consortium. She is also a member of interdisciplinary Immune Patrol project at UU and UMC (supported by the YELS funding), which tests the effectiveness of game-based learning on health literacy and vaccine confidence among youth.

Her research interests focus on the effects of digital media (e.g., video games and social media) use on adolescents’ social, cognitive, emotional, and educational outcomes. In her research, she applies self-report, behavioural, and neuroimaging (ERP) approaches, and combine insights from media psychology, developmental psychology, and social neuroscience.

She has a big passion for science communication and she's actively involved in sharing her experience with diverse audiences. She is a member of the Open Science Community Utrecht and a core team member of Young NeurolabNL.
