Erkam Hasim Bulut is a PhD candidate at the Molengraaff Institute for Private Law and the Utrecht Centre for Accountability and Liability Law (UCALL). His research focuses on the regulation of central counterparties (CCPs) under EU law. He is supervised by Professor Tomas Arons, Professor Bart Joosen (Leiden University) and Dr Peter Laaper.

Erkam holds an LLB (2017) and an MSc in Finance (2019) from Istanbul University. He previously worked as a legal associate at an international law firm and served as a research assistant at Istanbul University. Erkam is a dual-qualified lawyer admitted in Türkiye and in England & Wales and currently acts as a partner of an international law firm.
