I have a background in hydrology and ecology  (graduated from Wageningen University 2020). After my studies I started as a researcher at at KWR water, working on ecohydrology and drought issues in the Netherlands.

In my PhD project will be studying the interactions between vegetation transitions and hydrology in mountain areas. I am trying to understand how various mountain vegetation types affect local water fluxes, by what mechanisms mountains are currently 'greening up', and how this may affect future water resources under a changing climate. For this I am combining fieldwork in a Swiss catchment with small- and large-scale ecohydrological modelling.
