Daan is an assistant professor at the Experimental Psychology department. His research is focussed on the theme of Resilience in Youth, specifically examining how biological and environmental factors in children shape the development of impulsive behavior. 

Daan uses fMRI and EEG imaging metrics to study the brain during development, and works on the application of machine learning techniques in the area of developmental neuroscience.
