Denise has obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Astronomy (2020) and a Master of Science in Climate Physics (2022), both at Utrecht University. As of September 2023 she started pursuing her PhD supervised by dr. ir. Niko Wanders and dr. Hester Biemans. In this PhD project she explores the impacts of multi-year droughts on vegetation around the globe.
