Daniel is a PhD candidate in International Development Studies within the Department of Human Geography and Spatial Planning, Faculty of Geosciences, at Utrecht University, The Netherlands. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Sam Ratulangi Manado and a Master’s degree in Urban Studies from the School of Strategic and Global Studies at Universitas Indonesia.
Daniel’s research is centered on a planetary health perspective, with a specific focus on the dynamics of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in informal settlements in Jakarta. His work aims to explore the intricate relationships between environmental health and urban development, contributing to the broader discourse on sustainable urban planning and public health.
