Danae Georgoula is a Lecturer at Utrecht University School of Law, Department of International and European Law. She is also a Research Associate of the Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea (NILOS) and a member of the Utrecht University Centre for Water, Ocean and Sustainability Law (UCWOSL).  

Danae studied Law (LL.B, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) in Athens and in Utrecht (Ph.D 2024, LL.M in Public International Law, Utrecht University 2019) and Urban and Regional Planning also in Athens (Postgraduate Degree of specialisation, National Technical University of Athens). She previously worked as a legal trainee and as a legal consultant in both private practice and public administration. She is a member of the Bar in Athens, Greece.
