“Working at sustainable livestock systems with a limited use of antimicrobials”

 

David works as teacher and researcher in the area of infectious diseases and antimicrobial use in farm animals. He is involved in several research projects domestically and abroad. These research projects are mainly focussed on supporting the prudent use of antimicrobials in farm animals to avoid as much as possible the emergence and spread of antimicrobial resistance. His research activities are characterized by a strong multidisciplinary approach in which there is intensive collaboration with scientist from various disciplines in a One Health approach.

Additionally, David is affiliated to the University Farm Animal Practice where he works as ruminant veterinarian, teacher and researcher.
