Caia is a member of the European Network on Statelessness (ENS), the Nederlands Juristen Comité voor de Mensenrechten (NJCM), the Netherlands Network for Human Rights Research (NNHRR), Open Council of Europe Academic Networks (OCEAN) and the Staatsrechtkring. She is also a member of the editorial board of EHRC Updates and the Utrecht Law Review (ULR).
