Much of my research focuses on the ethical implications of ageing and life extension. In this research area, I have edited a volume, The Cambridge Handbook of the Ethics of Ageing, published in 2022. Aside from this, I work on emerging biotechnologies, and my published work often views them through the lens of African ethical systems. Having worked on several ethics committees and advisory bodies, I retain an Honorary Associate Professorship at the Steve Biko Centre for Bioethics at Wits University in South Africa.
