I am senior editor for the International Journal of Human-Computer Studies (IJHCS) and associate editor of Human Computer Interaction. I have served in various roles for conferences such as ACM SIGCHI Automotive-UI conference , CHIWORK, and ACM CHI. 

In my research, I collaborate with Rijkswaterstaat, NS, ProRail, TNO, uCrowds, and the Municipality Utrecht.

I frequently supervise students that conduct studies or internships in industry or other non-university organisations (e.g., Philips Research, SWOV, TNO).

I regularly serve as a reviewer for various scientific journals, including: Cognitive Science, International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, and Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied.

I serve or have served in the program committee for the Cognitive Science Annual Conference, ACM CHI, the International Conference on Cognitive Modeling (ICCM),and ACM's Automotive User Interfaces (auto-UI).
