Celine Taylor Parkins - Ozephius is a PhD-lecturer in Criminal Procedural Law at the Willem Pompe Institute for Criminal Law Sciences. She has been working at the institute since November 2018, initially as a Junior Lecturer and, since September 1, 2023, in her current position. Her PhD research, supervised by Prof. Joep Lindeman, Prof. Dr. Petra van Kampen, and Dave van Toor PhD LLM BSc, focuses on the question of how the criminal judge should be enabled to assess the reliability of digital evidence. She has a particular interest in the intersection of law and technology, specifically the role of digital investigation and digital evidence within criminal proceedings.

In addition to her research, Celine is active in teaching in the field of criminal (procedural) law. She coordinates the Master's course Advanced Criminal Procedure, for which she also provides part of the lectures and seminars. Furthermore, she supervises Master's theses.
