Co-developer Anthromes 2 approach (Ellis et al. 2010). Co-developer historical land use scenarios (RCP’s) for 5th AR of IPCC (Hurtt et al. 2011). Two yrs Co-Project leader National Emission Inventory Reports for The Netherlands.

 

 

1997 – 2002               

NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR PUBLIC HEALTH AND THE ENVIRONMENT (RIVM), The Netherlands.

Research Associate. Work involves data logistics and analysis for several integrated environmental assessments, e.g. the Global Environmental Outlooks (GEO’s) for UNEP, and European assessments like the State of the Environment reports (for the European Environment Agency), and the European Environmental Problems project (EEP) for the European Commission. Co-developed applications such as the global emission database (EDGAR) and a standardised mapping tool at RIVM (Geoview). Cooperation with other international scientific research groups on (historical) land use modelling (LUCC).

Research associate. Data logistics for several integrated environmental assessments (Global and National Environmental Outlooks). Co-operated in several collective data logistic efforts within RIVM.

INSTITUTE OF FORESTRY AND URBAN ECOLOGY "DE DORSCHKMAP" (IBN-DLO), Wageningen, The Netherlands. Co-developed a simulation model for carbon sequestration (CO2FIX) in Dutch forest ecosystems and analysed the implications of carbon sequestration on climate change policy.

INSTITUT DES SCIENCES AGRONOMIQUES DU BURUNDI, Bujumbura, Burundi, Africa. Co-developed a program for integrated pest management of cassava, one the most important food crops in Burundi.
