My research revolves around family law, empirical studies and comparative law. I would like to participate in projects that transcend a national legal perspective.
Participation in several comparative legal projects of the UCERF, for example, on Missing Persons (WODC 2018), International child abduction (WODC 2014), Multiple Parenthood (WODC 2013), Surrogacy (WODC 2011), Polygamous Marriages (WODC 2010), and the recently finalized comparative and empirical (multidisciplinary)
research on parental compliance with contact arrangements (WODC 2019).
Further interests: Family law in particular related to the parent-child relationship. The influence of human rights in national law. Comparative law, methodology and in practice. Dutch and Nordic law.
