Christina G. Jeppesen de Boer has been assistant professor and researcher in comparative family law, at the University of Utrecht, Molengraaff Institute since 2009. She is part of the UCERF (Utrecht Centre for European Research into Family Law) and of the research programme Family & Law. She is further a member of the Research School IUS COMMUNE. She defended her PhD thesis Joint Parental Authority at Utrecht University in 2008.
She studied law at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark 1987-1993 during which period in 1992-1993 at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. She worked as an attorney-at-law in Copenhagen till 1999 being admitted to the Danish Bar in 1998. She simultaneously taught family- and inheritance law at the University of Copenhagen. After moving to the Netherlands in 1999 she worked shortly as an international tax advisor for Ernst & Young, Amsterdam. In 2001 she started her PhD research at the University of Utrecht.
