Caro Mooren is PhD candidate at the Copernicus Institute for Sustainable Development at Utrecht University. She is also is a scientific researcher in the innovation and valorization team at KWR Water Research Institute. She has an academic background in cultural anthropology and environmental governance which she combines in her PhD research within the European NEXOGENESIS project. In her PhD research and the project she works on designing and implementing a stakeholder co-creation approach for Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem Nexus governance in five transboundary river basins in the EU and South-Africa. In the past few years Caro has worked on several European projects in which she focused on stakeholder engagement and facilitating knowledge exchange between stakeholders. She also has experience with the design and implementation of evaluations of research projects and programs.
