Bilge Yigit Ozkan is a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Sjaak Brinkkemper and Dr. Marco Spruit at the Department of Information and Computing Sciences at Utrecht University. Her research focuses on developing a standards-based, unified and personalised information security and cybersecurity maturity model for security assessments, specifically for SMEs. She is currently the rapporteur for the work item “Cybersecurity Standardisation Essentials for SMEs” which has been approved to be published as a Technical Report by ETSI TC CYBER. She has 20+ years of high-tech industry experience in several ICT functions. She has worked as both a standardisation practitioner and a compliance auditor for several standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 31000, ISO 20000 and ISO 9001. She worked in the SMESEC H2020 project as mainly responsible for the Standardisation task.
