Brechtje van Zeijts is a postdoctoral researcher within the NWA-project titled ‘Becoming literate in a digital age: Adapting reading education in the Netherlands’. She develops a pedagogical-didactical framework to guide reading education in a digital age. 

She did her PhD in Educational Sciences at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her dissertation focuses on reading comprehension instruction in primary school and the potential role of videos within reading education.
