Björn Lundgren has a Ph. D. in philosophy from the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden). He mainly works on ethical and epistemic issues in the information society, publishing on topics such as AI, self-driving vehicles, information, information security, decision-making under risk and uncertainty, privacy, anonymity, and ethical guidelines for AI, robotics, and tracing and tracking tools in pandemics. Beyond his main focus he is interested in a diverse set of topics, as exemplified by publications on social housing and the metaphysics of fictional characters. He joined the department in January 2022 and is funded through the ESDiT-program to work on methods in ethics of technology.
Björn is also the Vice President of the International Association of Computing and Philosophy since October, 2022 (IACAP).
