Aart Zwaan MSc

PhD Candidate
Spatial Ecology and Global Change

In my PhD I aim to gain insight in the importance of spatial processes for the resilience of savanna ecosystems. I use models and remote sensing data to investigate the link between spatial patterns (self-organisation) and tipping points in savannas.

Before my PhD I worked as a junior lecturer in the bachelor programme Global Sustainability Science and the master programme Sustainable development. I am currently still teaching a course in both programmes.
