Her research investigates the resilience of software-defined Industrial IoT-Edge (IIoT-Edge) communication networks in offshore wind power plants. These networks face challenges such as node failures, resource exhaustion, and cyber threats. By leveraging software-defined networking (SDN) and AI-driven self-healing frameworks, the study develops adaptive strategies to maintain network availability, reliability, and performance. Further, the research integrates IoT, cloud, and virtualization to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient communication infrastructures in such a complex offshore environment. The research uses Markov models, Deep Q-Network reinforcement learning, and cloud-based co-simulation testbed to test the effectiveness of the proposed solutions.
