Dr. Alexandra Masciantonio

Researcher
Developmental Psychology

I obtained my PhD in psychology from the University of Lorraine (France) in 2021. My research focuses on the effects of digitalization on individual and collective dynamics. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at Utrecht University in the Department of Psychology, within the Becoming Adult in a Changing World community.

During my postdoctoral work, I study how digital technologies and, increasingly, artificial intelligence influence young people’s social and professional lives. This includes research on interpersonal relationships, mental health, and readiness to participate in collective and work-related contexts.

Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Studio Europa Maastricht, a center of expertise on the European Union at Maastricht University. My broader goal is to foster dialogue between research and the general public, and I am always open to opportunities to discuss these topics. Feel free to contact me.
