Within my PhD studies, I will be combining the fields of neuroimmunology and metabolomics. Specifically, the aim is to develop an in vitro model of the enteric nervous system (ENS) from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), in order to investigate the immunometabolism of enteric glial cells and their possible role in Parkinson’s disease.
