With a background in biology, neuroscience and psychology, I specialize in studying the effects of the menstrual cycle and hormonal contraceptives on emotions. Specifically, I investigate how the cycle and contraceptive use can affect emotion regulation and possibly lead to the depressive or anxiety symptoms often seen fluctuating throughout the cycle or with contraceptive use.

Using longitudinal data analyses and experimental designs with psychophysiological measures I strive to get a better understanding of hormone related mental health issues and its underlying mechanisms.
