Associate Professor at Department of Infectious Diseases and Immunology,Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Associated with Theoretical Biology and Bioinformatics, both at Utrecht University. Bioinformatics consultant for Janssen Pharmaceuticals on bacterial vaccine development.
My interests are the analysis of bacterial (meta)genomes for comparative genomics, molecular epidemiology and linking the bacterial genotype to a phenotype such as host association or clinical manifestation of disease.
