Annemiek is a junior researcher with the Resourcefulness project within Pathways to Sustainability. She has an MSc degree in Sustainable Development in the Energy and Materials specialization from Utrecht University.

She is currently working on the quantitative work package of the Resourcefulness project team to map financial and material flows of critical materials for the energy transition, investigating the role of financial institutions in these flows and how their activities in the value chain may perpetuate colonial economic structures. 

She is passionate about interdisciplinary research and decolonizing sustainable development and academia.
