My main research projects are ASReview: Automated systematic text reviewing by using Deep Learning and Active Learning and solutions for small data sets (S4) in the field of structural equation modeling with solutions in the areas of expert elicitation, Bayesian statistics and constrained statistical inference.

I also am the program director of the research master 'Methodology and Statistics for the Behavioural, Biomedical and Social Sciences' and coordinator of the post-graduate program at the Department of Methods and Statistics

Short bio:

I first studied Medical imaging techniques and worked for four years at the university hospital in Utrecht, The Netherlands. After this, I started studying again, completed my Psychology bachelor with a minor in juvenile delinquency and graduated cumlaude for the research master Development and Socialization of Children and Adolescents. I obtained my PhD (also cumlaude and awarded the APA-award for best dissertation of division 5) on applying Bayesian statistics to real life data at the department of Methods and Statistics.

I obtained a VENI (on Integrating background knowledge about traumatic stress experienced after trauma into statistical models assessing individual change over time) and a VIDI (on Experts, their prior knowledge, and the issue of limited data).

I am a member of the Young Academy (Jonge Akademie) of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) and elected member of the Society of Multivariate Experimental Psychology (SMEP).
