Archer Buissink

Archer BUISSINK is a PhD candidate at Utrecht University researching strategies for the regulation of digital labour platforms and platform work in the Netherlands and the European Union. His previous studies were in sociology at Victoria University of Wellington and the University of Waikato, and in French and German at the University of Auckland.

Alongside the impact of digitsation and algorithms on work, employment, and governance in the European context, Buissink is interested in the sociology of work, and the history of social theory. His previous research is published in Science & Society and Rethinking Marxism. In 2022, Buissink received the Stephen A. Resnick Graduate Student Essay Prize for this research.
