SIG Challenge Based Learning (CBL)

In higher education there is a rising interest in using innovative educational concepts to bring in the classroom real life scenarios and encourage your students to work on them contributing with their knowledge to society. Challenge Based Learning (CBL) is one of the main approaches used to achieve this and also to support students develop as future professionals in a transdisciplinary environment.

The main goal of this SIG is to get to know examples of CBL being practiced within Utrecht University or its alliances, such as EWUU and CHARM-EU. We come together to go over our questions on how to design a CBL course, what kind of support exists, what are the different roles in this type of education and what kind of resources and tools you can make use of. Moreover, we are there to share with each other struggles or questions related to this type of education and create a HUB within Utrecht University.
