Nieuwe SIM fellow: Maja Sahadžić

Het Studie- en Informatiecentrum Mensenrechten (SIM) van de Universiteit Utrecht verwelkomt zijn nieuwe fellow Maja Sahadžić.
Maja is an assistant professor in constitutional law. Her research revolves around multilevel governance, dynamic legitimacy, dynamic stability, asymmetries, constitutional values and principles, fundamental rights, authoritarianism, antidemocratic risks caused by technology, alternative conflict solutions, and constitutionalism under extreme measures.
Her passion is also the methodology of (legal) research. She has published extensively on a broad spectrum of human rights topics, including the intersection of electoral rights and discrimination within the framework of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), the role of the Venice Commission in shaping constitutional orders, the legal mechanisms within constitutional and human rights law that address the converging and diverging effects of diversity and unity, and collective rights broadly.
Her current research explores the impact of technology on the exercise of rights, as well as the conceptualization of technology itself as a potential collective right.
