De volgende editie van de Pathways to Sustainability-conferentie zal plaatsvinden op 5 maart 2020. Het thema van de conferentie is 'accelerating the sustainability transformation'. Aangezien de voertaal van de conferentie Engels is, gaat dit bericht hieronder verder in het Engels.

We are confronted daily by alarming news of the climate crisis, vast biodiversity loss, faster than predicted thawing ice and permafrost, natural resource shortages, and rising social inequality. We are increasingly aware that the pathways to sustainability require an extraordinary effort: where will the needed energy come from? How do we nurture the acceleration of promising trends? How do we speed up to achieve societal, scientific and political breakthroughs while ensuring socially fair outcomes?

The third Pathways to Sustainability Conference is therefore devoted to the theme of ‘accelerating the sustainability transformation’.
