Rozemarijn Roland Holst is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Utrecht, working on the ERC Sustainable Ocean Project: ‘Accommodating New Interests at Sea: Legal Tools for Sustainable Ocean Governance’ led by professor Seline Trevisanut. Rozemarijn’s research focusses on the flexibility of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea’s normative and institutional structure in accommodating new and changing interests in the law of the sea.

Rozemarijn obtained her LL.B (with distinction) from the University of Amsterdam, with a minor in legal research conducted at the T.M.C. Asser Institute for International and European Law in The Hague, and holds an LL.M degree (with distinction) in Global Environment and Climate Change Law from the University of Edinburgh.  Rozemarijn is supervised by Prof. dr. Alex Oude Elferink and Prof. dr. Seline Trevisanut. She is a member of the Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea (NILOS), and the Utrecht Centre for Water, Oceans and Sustainability Law (UCWOSL).
