Sofía Forchieri is a lecturer in the BA Literary Studies programme at Utrecht University. Her research addresses questions related to memory, gender, and violence, with a particular interest in the relationship between aesthetics, affects, and politics.
Sofía’s research and teaching interests include memory studies, decolonial feminisms, contemporary Latin American literature and culture, women’s writing, complicity studies, and anti-gender movements. Her work has been published in journals such as Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society, Memory Studies, Bulletin of Spanish Studies, and Frame: Journal of Literary Studies.
Sofía obtained her degrees in Comparative Literature from Goethe University Frankfurt (BA, 2017) and Utrecht University (RMA, 2020). Currently, she is completing her PhD at Radboud University Nijmegen. Sofía’s doctoral research has involved research stays at the University of California, Los Angeles; Universidad de Alcalá (Spain); and Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina).
