My group and I work in the ALICE experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. In collisions of heavy-ions we create matter at extreme densities and temperatures. This matter we study to learn about Quantum Chromodynamics and the properties of the early universe a few microseconds after the Big Bang.
