Prescilla is appointed as Pharmacology teacher within Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her teaching focusses on the role of the immune system in health and disease. She is fascinated by the potential impact of a healthy diet and lifestyle in the maintenance of good health. Her ambition as Future Food Ambassador Feed, Food & Health is to seek synergies between expertise on human, animal and plant immune resilience and nutrition within academic groups, companies and medical centres. Through education, scientific meetings and facilitation of public-private partnership grant applications, she hopes to see more high-quality science translated into health-improving applications. The rapid developments in personalised nutrition and health, and e-health technology might enable all of us to maintain the resilience of our immune system and keep health care affordable in the future.
