As a Junior Researcher at the Utrecht University School of Economics, I specialize in development economics with a focus on educational interventions and child development in low- and middle-income countries. My research draws on randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and mixed-methods approaches to evaluate how pedagogical innovations, life skills programs, and teacher training affect children's cognitive and non-cognitive outcomes. Current projects include an RCT on retrieval practice and exam performance in Kenya and Nigeria, an evaluation of a life skills and financial education program in The Gambia, and a study on parental beliefs and home investment in Bulgaria. I work with partners including ChildFund, Aflatoun, Edukans, NewGlobe, and national ministries of education. 

I am concurrently pursuing a PhD in Development Economics at Wageningen University & Research, where my dissertation examines skills acquisition, access to education, and pedagogical innovation in low-income contexts, under the supervision of Dr. Joost de Laat, Dr. Esther Gehrke, and Dr. Thomas van Huizen.

At Utrecht University, I coordinated and taught two master 's-level courses: Economics of Global Challenges, which includes a community-engaged learning component with partners in southern Kenya, and the Thematic Interdisciplinary Challenge (TIC) course, an interdisciplinary course developed with societal partners including Triodos Bank, RIVM, and Commonland. 
I served as Guest Editor for a special issue on international community-engaged learning at JHEOE (Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement, Vol. 29) and am a member of the Network of Impact Evaluation Researchers in Africa (NIERA).
