Philip Brenner completed a Ph.D. in sociology with specialization in survey methodology and social psychology from the University of Wisconsin.  Prior to joining the Department of Methodology and Statistics at Utrecht University, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Program in Survey Methodology at the University of Michigan, and senior research fellow in the Center for Survey Research and associate professor of sociology at the University of Massachusetts.
