I am a complex systems researcher studying how new knowledge and technologies emerge within and across organisations with a particular focus on innovation processes, inter-organisational collaboration, and system transformation. My research agenda has focused on understanding the complex dynamics behind the production of knowledge, innovation, and new technologies to address interconnected global challenges. More recently, my research focus has shifted to examining how the geopolitics of critical raw materials affects technological trajectories. My work has been used by organisations such as EIT Climate-KIC, the Joint Research Centre, and the Wyss Academy for Nature, and has informed policy documents for research councils across Europe and Latin America.
