Özenç Çetinkaya

Özenç Çetinkaya is a PhD researcher in the Department of Cultural Anthropology at Utrecht University. She holds a BA in Sociology and in Political Science & International Relations from Boğaziçi University, and an MA in Comparative Studies in History and Society from Koç University. Her research interests include urban anthropology and the anthropology of infrastructure. Currently, she is working on an ethnographic study of infrastructural megaprojects in Istanbul with an emphasis on the lived experience of waiting for these projects. She is also interested in questions of citizenship and statehood as they are constructed and interpreted through urban megaprojects and infrastructure.
