Nike has been a member of the Board of the Van Hamel Foundation for Celtic Studies since the start of her PhD in 2012. She has also cooperated extensively with Dr Christien Franken of English for Professionals in teaching the ins and outs of Academic Writing. She also happily mucks out dog kennels at het local shelter and is currently on the board of her local VvE.
