Maarten van Houte studied philosophy in Utrecht, where he also obtained his PhD in philosophy (2010) with a dissertation on the theological views of the Stoic philosopher and statesman Seneca. He is currently working as a lecturer in the history of philosophy and in liberal arts & sciences
