My background

Maisam is a Data Steward at the Faculty of Geosciences, starting in July 2022. His research background is in experimental high-energy & nuclear physics where he managed and analyzed large datasets during his Ph.D.. He has also been involved for 2.5 years in project ESCAPE (European Science Cluster of Astronomy and Particle physics ESFRIs), a collective effort to boost Open Science and FAIR data management in these scientific communities. ESCAPE is one of the five main clusters of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), an environment for hosting and processing research data to support EU science.

What do I do?

I am part of the GEO-ICT team at the faculty of GeoScience to support and help researchers across the faculty to manage their data in compliance with FAIR principles and Open science requirements together with other team members. Also, if you have any question regarding differenet aspects of your research data at any phase of your research, I would be happy to help you or refer you to the relevant expert.
