Profiel

Mariëlle graduated cum laude for the two research masters that she combined: Development and Socialization in Childhood and Adolescence (DaSCA), and Methodology and Statistics of Social and Behavioral Sciences (M&S). In DaSCA she was taught what applications of statistics are interesting to researchers and what techniques are nowadays used. In M&S she acquired knowledge about the fundamentals of statistics, and techniques to investigate and solve statistical issues when they arise.

In her PhD project, Mariëlle investigates the formalization and evaluation of prior knowledge, and applies this in the context of replication. Mariëlle is part of the the Consortium Individual Developement (CID), which is funded through the Gravitation program of the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science and the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO grant number 024.001.003).
