Laura Frederika Lalíková is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the law department of Utrecht University, affiliated with RENFORCE (Utrecht Centre for Regulation and Enforcement in Europe).
Her PhD research focused on access to digital platform infrastructures, specifically through the essential facilities doctrine and the concept of public services. The PhD research was conducted as part of the ERC starting grant project 'Modern Bigness', led by Prof. mr. dr. Anna Gerbrandy.

Her current research interests centre on: refusal to deal, competition law from a normative perspective (equality of opportunity), services of general economic interest, and universal service obligations. More broadly, she has a keen interest in digital platforms, the video game industry, critical infrastructures, and digital sovereignty.

Laura holds an LL.B. in International Civil Law from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and an LL.M. in European Law from Utrecht University. Prior to joining Utrecht University, she worked at the European Court of Auditors in Luxembourg, where she conducted research on the performance of EU agencies, EU administrative law, and EU economic and fiscal policy coordination.

Alongside her research, Laura has been involved in teaching, contributing to various courses and capita selecta in the areas of competition law, European law, public international law, and market regulation.
