Konstantina Karagkouni

Konstantina works as an Associate Researcher for the Beyond Compliance Consortium Project, based at Utrecht University. She holds an LL.M. in Public International Law, specialising in Security and Conflict from Utrecht University, an LL.M. in Public International Law, and an LL.B. in Law, both awarded by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Prior to joining the Consortium, Konstantina interned at the T.M.C. Asser Institute, worked as a legal assistant for an NGO in Samos, Greece, specialising in pushbacks and enforced disappearances, and served as a student assistant on the project ‘Civilian Agency, Armed Groups, and International Law’ under the leadership of Professor Katharine Fortin.

Konstantina is also an EU - qualified lawyer, admitted to practice law in Greece (Piraeus Bar). Prior to joining academia, she has worked in private practice in Greece, specialising in civil and criminal law cases.
