Joep is project and portfolio manager for the Centre of Living Labs, a part of the Sustainability Office. Here he supports a portfolio of innovative transdisciplinary Living Labs that run on campus to accelerate our road to sustainability at the university. Living Labs connect research, education, operations and government to experiment in real-life settings, often with innovation as a goal.

Coming from the fast-paced IT industry, he had to build a network and facilitate collaborations with a win-win outcome. Being adaptive and learning through experimentation were key values he had to adhere to. He now applies these for the University to help you develop your idea into a full-fledged Living Lab.
