Joep is project and portfolio manager for the Centre of Living Labs, a part of the Sustainability Office. Here he oversees a portfolio of innovative transdisciplinary Living Labs that accelerate our road to a sustainable future. Through co-creation, experimentation and testing in real-life settings, living labs enables learning for all parties involved: research, education, operations, government and society.
Coming from the fast-paced IT industry, he had to build mutually beneficial collaborations with parties like AWS, Microsoft, Snowflake, and Red Hat. He coached development teams in new ways of working, shifting from project work to product development. Learning through experimentation and being adaptive were key values he had to adhere to. Fail fast, learn fast. He now applies these values for the University, because to close the bridge between theory and practice we need to start doing on top of thinking.
Need help developing your idea for the campus or beyond? We can help you with a network, internal support, and process coordination.
