Jaël van Bentum is an Assistant Professor in the department of Clinical Psychology at Utrecht University. She received her PhD at the VU University in Amsterdam, with her dissertation titled ‘Suicide prevention: investigating novel ways to improve suicide prevention strategies’.
Her current research predominantly centers on improving psychotherapy by understanding underlying (working) mechanisms and moderators in (sub)clinical setting. She also studies transdiagnostic phenomena such as intrusive thoughts and suicidality.
